This signature John Petrucci Majesty comes loaded with premium tonewoods and top-of-the line components, which should come as no surprise to enthusiasts. Looking under the hood, we have a maple-capped African mahogany body with a mahogany neck-through design. The neck sports an ebony fretboard with a 17″ radius and 24 stainless steel frets. The bridge is a custom piezo floating tremolo, allowing not only heavy whammy bar use, but grants access to clean, acoustic-like tones. Paired with Schaller IND-6 locking tuners, you can be sure that even heavy tremolo use won’t make this guitar go out of tune. The pickups selected for this model consist of a DiMarzio Dreamcatcher bridge pickup and a Dimarzio Rainmaker neck, capable of both chiming cleans and face-melting distortion. Those looking for versatility will certainly be pleased with all the tonal options this guitar has to offer.
This guitar is in good condition. The main and most noticeable defect is that some of the paint was scratched off from the tremolo back cavity cover. There is some minor oxidation on the bridge, which seems to be common with Music Man models.
