Ernie Ball Music Man JP15 7 BFR Eminence Purple

The JP15 7 BFR represents the refinement of John Petrucci’s signature line, utilizing a lightweight African mahogany body paired with a highly figured flamed maple top. The Eminence Purple finish was a limited run for the Ball Family Reserve series, making this specific finish difficult to find on the secondary market. The electronics include DiMarzio Illuminator pickups and an active preamp system with a 20dB gain boost, offering a wide range of tonal possibilities directly from the instrument.

The neck is carved from roasted flamed maple, providing a smooth, non-stick feel. This JP15 features a clean ebony fretboard without inlays, which is an uncommon specification for Petrucci models. The 17 inch radius and slim neck profile are tailored for high-speed lead work and complex chord voicings across all seven strings. The custom JP floating tremolo system includes a piezo system, allowing for authentic acoustic-like tones that can be blended with the magnetic pickups or routed to a separate output.

This instrument is in mint condition. There are no visible scratches, dings, or signs of play wear on the body or neck. The frets show no measurable wear and have been polished to a high shine. All electronics, including the piezo system and the push-push gain boost, function correctly. No modifications have been made to the hardware or wiring.
