Designed as the next step in his iconic collaboration with Ibanez, the PIA is a worthy successor to the legendary JEM or, as Steve himself puts it, an evolution. Compared to RG body shape, edges are rounded off, bevels are deeper and more ergonomic. Probably, the most striking design change is the new grip design. “Monkey Grip” is gone, instead we have something rather elegant, reminiscent of petal flowers, or Yin Yang symbol. The inlays also have a new design called – Pia Blossom. We also have to mention more subtle changes like: magnetic backplate, carbon fiber whammy bar, lowered volume knob, and high-pass filter on the volume knob, activated via push/pull. Pickups are works of art – designed by Mike Mesker specially for this guitar.
Guitar is in very good condition, it has a small ding on the back of the headstock, which is shown in photos.
