This particular model has been refinished in pink lacquer, akin to the earlier SG-1000 Saudade guitars. It features a mahogany body with a maple top, a 3 piece mahogany neck with an ebony fingerboard that is equipped with 22 nickel frets. The guitar sounds warm, with a deep and resonant tone. The hardware is gold, with Yamaha branded tuners and an engraved stopbar tailpiece. The pickups are a set of Yamaha humbuckers, and feature a “Bi-sound” possibility accessed using the push-push knobs.
This guitar is in good condition. The lacquer has been refinished, but it has been done very well. There is one barely noticeable blemish on the top near the knobs and bridge pickup. Otherwise, there are no scratches, nicks or dings, or anything that would hinder playability for that matter. The gold hardware is shiny, there is only some minor oxidization on the tuners and on the bridge where the hand of the player rests.
